Independent, state-licensed veterinarians and credentialed trainers — 640+ of them across 38 states. We verify licence status and malpractice coverage at onboarding and re-check annually. They set their own prices; a new-pet wellness exam typically runs $89–$135 depending on your metro.
What does an in-home visit cover?
A full nose-to-tail wellness exam, weight and body-condition scoring, core vaccines appropriate to age, microchip check or placement, a parasite plan and a written summary in your plan. Anything requiring imaging, sedation, surgery or emergency care is referred to a clinic — see our veterinary disclaimer.
Why does insurance timing matter so much?
Every pet insurer excludes pre-existing conditions, and most start the clock at your first documented exam. Enrolling before that exam is usually the difference between a covered condition and a lifetime exclusion.
